Headstart Program at One Giant Leap Child Care. For Children aged 2 to 3 years.

The Headstart Program at One Giant Leap Child Care bridges the gap between toddlerhood and preschool. Designed for children aged two to three, this program helps children build independence, social skills, and confidence as they prepare for their next step in early learning.

Focused on Growth and Readiness

We focus on the whole child, providing opportunities for growth across key areas of development:

  • Cognitive thinking through hands-on activities.

  • Physical development through movement and play.

  • Emotional support through nurturing relationships.

  • Independence through guided routines and responsibilities.

  • Social skills through group interaction and early friendships.

  • Language development through songs, stories, and conversation.

Preparing for Preschool

This stage is about building the habits and skills children need to thrive in preschool. That includes following basic instructions, participating in group activities, and expressing needs with increasing clarity.

Educators introduce basic structure through age-appropriate learning centers, circle time, music, art, and exploration.

Potty Training Support

Potty training is a central focus at this age. We support every child at their own pace using positive reinforcement and consistent routines.

  • Staff are trained in age-appropriate potty-training methods.

  • Parents receive regular updates on progress.

  • Children are encouraged, not pressured.

  • Cleanliness and dignity are always maintained.

"The owners are a dream to work and communicate with. If there's an opening, you should do everything you can to grab the spot.
P.S. I've never seen potty training go that fast. It happened in less than a week! And our son is a picky eater, but eats everything they put on his plate there. You cannot go wrong with this daycare choice."
